The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

Current legislation, "The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005" demands:

  • The employer must produce a Fire Risk Assessment
  • The employer must produce an emergency plan
  • The employer must use a "competent person" to assess fire risk
  • Re-assessment is required with significant changes to the workplace, working practice or staff
  • Employers will have a responsibility for people in the vicinity of buildings not just for employees
  • Where ever public has access, fire risks must be assessed and controls implemented

The Fire Safety Legislation and related legislation is complex, with no margin for error with compliance.

Call FRMS for help and advice with your responsibilities under the Fire Safety Regulations, in particular the Fire Safety Order 2005.
